LANIT-TERCOM project for Gazprom Neft reached IT Stars 2021 award’s finals

The joint digital D-Seis platform for seismic operations management developed by LANIT-TERCOM and Gazprom Neft PJSC, became a finalist in the prestigious Russian IT Stars award in the “Digital Transformation” nomination.

The large-scale introduction of D-Seis was Gazprom Neft's key project in the field of ground-based research methods in the completed field season. It is a digital twin of seismic exploration, which increases the efficiency of planning, preparation and conducting the field season of seismic exploration at oil fields.

In the information system, LANIT-TERCOM specialists implemented a unique database of seismic survey results from all customer’s oilfields. System's calculations and access of all the process participants to the single platform assist in making optimal decisions at all stages of work. In addition, the system shows complete information on the readiness and status of resources and provides a digital document flow. The platform database is constantly replenished with information about the progress of work and geospatial data.

Vadim Sabashny, CEO at LANIT-TERCOM: ”The first season of fieldwork has already shown a 14% savings in time. The use of a digital seismic twin has reduced the duration of the project cycle and improved the quality of decisions made. The introduction of a single platform and connection of functional modules to it opens a new chapter in the development of seismic exploration, and clearly demonstrates the possibility of digital transformation of even highly specialized business processes. We would like to thank our partner for their trust, a challenging but extremely interesting task, and the IT Stars Award Expert Council for their high appreciation of the project.”
